Spent a couple of hours in East Stroudsburg in the fall. This was the only interesting site in the town.

Provincetown is all about the water. After all being surrounded by the North Atlantic, New Englanders have had to adjust to a myriad of environmental shifts. In 1850 Long Point (horizon of the fourth shot) no longer could sustain the community so the residents loaded their houses on barges and moved them to what is now the west end of Provincetown. The homes that are still standing from this migration have plaques to commemorate the move like the one in the sixth shot. Cape Cod residents take great pride in their rich history. Not only are there many historical landmarks but any conversation with native son will usually cover anecdotal tales that span at least a hundred and fifty years.

I happened upon these fearless flyers in October. They made it look pretty easy and safe. The only danger seemed to come from the guy in the first shot driving golf balls into the ocean. Nobody seemed to mind. For a sequence of shots of a take-off check it out here.

One of the things I love most about visiting friends on Cape Cod is the abundance of creative energy that seems to permeate life there.
