There may be more beautifull beaches in the world (I know I've seen my share) but there are few places where I feel totally at peace like I do at Cherry Grove on Fire Island.

I have really refined the art of the beach at Cherry Grove. Roll out of bed, cup of home brewed Bucks, plant the campsite and read till my eyes get bleary. Beloved and I take lots of breaks swimming in the sometimes challenging surf or just to walk along the long beautiful beach. Dutch, the former owner of Dune Point, still lives on the property. He's a spry 79, though I think he takes his cue from Jack Benny.
