The New York Botanical Gardens is hosting Chihuly's Gardens and Glass from June 25 to Octobr 25. Dale Chihuly is a glass artist... too simple a term to describe the magnificent pieces integrated into the Gardens. It may not be on a scale of The Gates but it should not be missed. These shots are of some of his out door exhibits. More to come.
Visited the Bronx Botanical Gardens yesterday. It is truly a New York City treasure. It is an outdoor museum of aboreal splendor. There were surprises around every corner. It was a cloudy, hazy day. So it was a good learning experience for finding a shot and then waiting for the proper light. Needless to say a lot of shots didn't make the cut. I almost filled a 256MB card.
